A much enlarged view of the engraving on the skeleton butt plate. A very close up view of the engraving on the top tang. The top lever goes above what is pictured. The owner of the gun had three of his dogs portrayed on the shotgun. The owner's initials - inlaid with 24 carat gold and pure platinum. The letters are in raised relief above the level of the steel.
The bottom of the action - featuring another of the owner's dogs amid detailed, relief engraving. The top of the action showing the lever and the second set of barrels. A detail view of the top lever and top of the action. A detail view of the top lever and safety. Both done in sculpted relief. To really appreciate the work you would need to see the actual pieces!
Relief engraving of the top of the action, top lever, and rather unusual border style. A detailed pheasant and a hunter on the trigger guard.
